The MAC Project: Building the Future of Athletics, Wellness, and Community
The McDowell Athletic Complex (MAC) Project is a comprehensive overhaul of McDowell's athletic complex, which includes the student walkway between the McDowell buildings, the newly-named James Conner Field turf surface, and the grass field immediately west of McDowell's South Building.
The project will be the first major overhaul of the complex since its inception more than 50 years ago. The last large renovation was to the athletic field's turf and track, which were redone in 2014 and are currently past their life expectancy with various issues from damage and deterioration.
